Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons low-carb sweetener (such as erythritol or stevia), adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, grated dark chocolate, berries

Instructions
 

  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  • Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, low-carb sweetener, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  • Start by adding 1 tablespoon of heavy cream to the blender. Blend the mixture on low speed to combine the ingredients. If the mixture seems too thick, add the remaining tablespoon of heavy cream gradually while blending until you achieve a smooth, mousse-like consistency.
  • Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more sweetener.
  • Once the mousse is smooth and well combined, stop blending and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula. Blend for a few more seconds to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
  • Transfer the chocolate avocado mousse to a serving dish or bowl.
  • If desired, top the mousse with a dollop of whipped cream, grated dark chocolate, or a few berries for extra flavor and visual appeal.
