Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet or frying pan
  • Whisk or fork
  • Mixing bowl
  • Oven (optional, for finishing under broiler)

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, blanched and chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and heavy cream together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the blanched and chopped broccoli florets to the egg mixture, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix everything together.
  • Place the skillet on the stove, and add the butter. Let it melt and coat the bottom and sides of the skillet.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, spreading it out evenly.
  • Cook the frittata over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until the edges start to set.
  • If you have an oven-safe skillet, you can finish cooking the frittata under the broiler for about 3-5 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is fully set. Alternatively, you can cover the skillet with a lid and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the top is set.
  • Carefully slide the frittata onto a plate or serve directly from the skillet.
  • Enjoy your delicious Broccoli and Cheese Frittata!
